Google reviews per year at 3 jobs/week with a 50% response rate

Step 1: Ask Every Time, Same Day

The single most important rule: ask the same day as job completion, while the experience is fresh. Every day you wait, conversion drops.

"Write a text to [NAME] whose [SERVICE TYPE] we just completed today. Thank them genuinely, mention one specific thing about their job [DETAIL], and ask for a Google review. Explain briefly what it means to a small business. Warm and human. Under 100 words."

Step 2: One Follow-Up at Day 3

If they haven't reviewed after 3 days, one brief reminder is appropriate. After 5 days, drop it.

"Write a brief Day-3 follow-up text to [NAME]. Check that everything looks great, gently mention the Google review if they have a minute. 2–3 sentences, no pressure."

Step 3: Respond to Everything

Responding to reviews does three things: makes reviewers feel heard, shows future customers you're engaged, and signals to Google that your profile is active.
